About Me

Hi, my name is Sarah Phibbs Moss.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor - providing short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy to a multitude of diverse clients.

Over the past 9 years I have worked for a world leading adult Learning & Development and Executive/Performance Coaching consultancy, the UK’s largest mental health charity - MIND, a London based secondary school, an international family counselling charity and a global Psychotherapy agency, as well as my own private practice.

Before training to be a Psychotherapist, I worked within the performing arts, media and corporate sectors and understand the stresses and pressures that work can cause. After receiving a range of therapy myself for a number of years with different therapists and approaches, following a significant loss, I was so inspired, moved and motivated to change, that I chose Psychotherapy as a new career choice. After receiving therapy, I have never felt so awake, that said, the word ‘awaken’ has stayed with me throughout my journey of recovery - the journey which will never end because I am constantly evolving and learning.

My Approach

I integrate with several modalities depending on the client’s need - PCT (Person Centred Therapy is a non-directive Humanistic approach, working with the present, reflections and allowing the client to lead the sessions), Psychodynamic (safely takes the client back to the past to unlock subconscious links to the present thoughts, feelings and behaviours), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy directly and rapidly helps clients to address irrational beliefs and unhelpful thinking patterns).

Other areas of work include Gestalt and Transactional Analysis Therapy (understanding patterns within relationships, the ‘empty chair technique’, and noticing the dialogue and roles one regresses to during dysfunctional relationships), Jungian Psychoanalysis (analysis of the root of thoughts and feelings, dreams, symbols, and visualising future goals), Psychosynthesis (working with the energy and spirit of the individual), and Life Coaching (Motivational Interviewing techniques can unblock cognitive dissonance - empowering and inspiring clients to live out their true potential).
